Job Description

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Position: Country: Ghana

Function Note: Role and Responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant will report to the Country Coordinator (Ghana) and the home office Project Director (Washington DC). He/she will be responsible for undertaking the following tasks and responsibilities in a professional manner:

  • Serve as a receptionist for the project office, maintaining a post in the reception area during office hours
  • Serve as an assistant to the senior office staff as needed
  • Provide administrative support for project workshops, events, and trainings
  • Provide general assistance in the day to day office management of the field office
  • Errands as required
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Country Coordinator or Trade Expert that are consistent with this Scope of Work and the general requirements of the project

Requirement Note: Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must be a Ghanaian citizen
  • Experience working in a professional office in a supportive role
  • Ability to handle simple tasks, take direction, follow through on instructions for routine tasks and operational issues
  • Outstanding punctuality and reliability
  • Strong written and verbal English skills
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Some knowledge of USAID projects and regulations preferred but not required
