Job Description

Job Title: Logistics and Finance Assistant

Job Summary

The Logistics Manager resolves complex problems and ad hoc duties as assigned. The logistics and Finance Assistant will liaise with the entire various departments to resolve their logistics needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Logistics and Finance Assistant will receive direction from senior managers on a wide range of complex problems and ad hoc duties. These may include

• Supporting in the coordinating project site tours for potential contractors and suppliers; visiting government officials; and global Corporate leaders.
• Supporting in the coordinating large meetings involving the client’s team and stakeholders.
• Supporting the procurement and leasing of project equipment and office space.
• Supporting preparation of project reports for internal use.
• Supporting the risk manager in documenting project risks.
• Supporting the construction management team with ad hoc assignments.
• Supporting the interface manager in applications for permits and clearances from local authorities.
• Supporting in the coordinating of accommodation for employees.
• Providing support for office staff.
• Preparing expense claims for approval.
• Capturing invoices for approval.
• Providing support on petty cash procedures.
• Updating supplier payment schedule.
• Keeping finance files up to date.

Minimum Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2 – 5 years of experience in the employ of an engineering consulting firm or construction contractor.
