Job Description

Job Title: Deputy Managing Director

Summary of Job Responsibilities

•   Assist the Managing Director in the overall administration and leadership of the organization in line with policies, goals and objectives of the Board of Directors and the relevant laws and regulations in place

Essential duties and accountabililties

•   Reports directly to the Managing director
•   Assists the Managing Director in the overall operations of the organization
•   Leads in the preparation and execution of long range plans and goals in line with mandates of the Board and best practice
•   Leads in the development, execution and evaluation of internal controls in the organization
•   Develops and oversee the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of relevant operating policies in line with the broad corporate directives
•   Ensures strict compliance with all relevant laws and regulations relating to the industry
•   Ensures sound organizational plan, management development and succession, competitive position in the industry
•   Ensures regular and credible reporting to the Managing Director, the Board and all regulatory bodies

Qualification Required & Experience

•   At least a master degree in business administration, banking, finance, commerce, management, or other relevant areas
•   At least 6 years of bank branch experience in various roles
•   Possess valid professional certificate and be in good standing in accounting, finance, strategy, or banking
•   Significant traveling
•   Demonstrate leadership, critical and strategic thinking, innovation, entrepreneurial and business acumen, sound financial and operational analysis skills
•   Competency in T24 banking software is required
•   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
