Newmont Ghana Gold Limited, a core operating district of Newmont Mining Corporation which is one of the world’s largest gold, mining companies.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be supervising and carrying out department functions

Supervise, instructs and mentor junior mining engineers and technicians
Works closely with other departments including Mine Operations, Process Operations, Geology, Project Construction, Accounting, and the Land and Environment
Prepare, review and evaluate mine designs, mine plans, ore control, project feasibility, and productivity studies
Use appropriate mining software to optimize and develop pit designs and dump and stockpile shapes
The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive

Required Skills or Experience

A degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
A minimum of five years experience in an open pit or underground mine
Numerate and must have completed National Service and mine supervision and operation not required but beneficial
Excellent computer skills couple with good written and spoken English
