Job Description

The successful candidate will support the Site Security Manager with the day to day security related activities at the mine site. This includes but not restricted to providing professional level assistance with development, delivery and management of security

• Monitor the operating and administrative activities of the contracted security force as well as security equipment and implements assigned to personnel
• Conduct investigations on incidents that occur on the property
• Liaise with police, justice department, company personnel, on site contractors and contracted security agency employees
• Act as the coordination point in emergency situations by staying appraised of Rapid Response System activities, monitoring emergency activities and responding as outlined in company procedure. Keep supervisors appraised of emergency situations with regular updates
• Review routine reports from subordinates and forward to the Site Security Manager for further distribution and filing

Required Skills or Experience

• A Degree/Diploma in required field is highly desirable
• Knowledge and experience of gold plant security for up to 10 years
• Military schooling is substituted on case-by-case basis as determined by the Regional Director
• Knowledge in Security Electronic and Informatics Systems are recommended
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills as well as advanced knowledge in both spoken and written English
