Job Description

The successful candidate will report to the Near Mine Geology Director and will work as part of a team for the evaluation of exploration, development or acquisition opportunities in a significant area of exploration activity, on a major project, or in a mine operation

Essential Duties:

Provide training and growth opportunities to challenge team members while accomplishing site and corporate objectives; Give input for and conduct periodic employee evaluations
Communicate regularly to management through oral and written presentations
Show strong problem solving skills and ability to develop new applications
Must experienced in generation geologic models for either surface or underground projects

Required Skills or Experience

Technical Skills, Education/Training & Experience:
A Bachelor of Science in Geosciences minimum. Master of Science preferred.
Advanced degree in Geostatistics or equivalent certification is a plus. Typically more than 10 years of industry experience in mining or exploration.
Experience at multiple sites and production geology preferred
Working knowledge of French is preferred. Must be able to speak and write English at an advanced professional level
Industry experience can be substituted for graduate studies
