Job Description

The successful candidate will report to the Manager and Director Project Accounting/Business Manager and will be responsible for assisting in supervising project accountants and local accounting staff and perform a variety of accounting duties in support of Application of Expense (AFE) Managers
Support Akyem project team in utilizing the Business Performance Management (BPM) system for reviewing cost reports
Assist with the preparation of management reports for actual costs to budgets and forecasts for both owners’ costs and the Project management team for the Project AFE
Monitor the administration of Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM), manage bank accounts and review the Company’s project group and EPCM cash flow forecasts and funding requests
Implement adequate internal controls to ensure compliance to corporate standards and procedures and corporate SOx requirements

Required Skills or Experience

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or an equivalent and 2-5 years experience in a construction or mining industry
Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Excel, Ellipse, Hyperion and Word applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must possess ability to adapt to a changing environment, handle multiple tasks concurrently, and work efficiently within time
