Job Description:
Duty Station: Akyem Project
The successful candidate will report to the Mine Manager and ensure that water management within the mine area is conducted in a manner consistent with environmental standards
- Promote projects and programs within the Mine that provide continuous improvement in the areas of safety, environment, production and efficiency
- Responsible for the maintenance of appropriate levels of control and monitoring to manage water related issues within the mine area
- Provides strategic direction and leadership to the Water Management functions within the mine area
- Accept personal responsibility for the health and safety of every mine worker under or assigned to his/her supervision
- Ensure the ongoing development and succession planning of personnel within the department
The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive Required Skills/ Job Experience:
- A minimum requirement of a degree in Mine Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering or related field
- At least twelve (12) years of mining and seven (7) related supervisory experience
- Technical knowledge in pumps and systems, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical engineering in relation to water management
- Experience in the management and administration of budgets in a multinational company
- Strong presentation, facilitation, consultation and communication skills
