1. Instrumentation Technician
Department: Electrical
Reports To: Instrumentation Engineer
Subordinates: Instrumentation / Electrical Technicians
Summary of Duties:
Assists the Instrumentation Engineer.
Job Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Works on plant instruments as detailed by authorities
- Carries out work orders
- Assists the electrical technicians
- Installs and calibrate plant instruments as required
- Any ad-hoc duties as assigned
Grading: Junior Staff
Required Skills or Experience
Applicant must have:
- PART # 3 in Electrical Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years experience
Attitudes & Personal Qualities:
- Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to read and understand electrical and instrumentation diagrams
- Must be able to install and calibrate field instruments
- Have flexible attitude to working hours
- Must have good and diagnostic and analytical skills
- Must have good knowledge in Electronics, PLC and Scada systems preferably simens
- Ready to respond to emergency situations & calls
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision
2. Instrumentation Engineer
Department: Electrical
Reports To: Senior Electrical Engineer
Subordinates: Instrumentation / Electrical Technicians
Summary of Duties:
Responsible for plant instrumentation.
Job Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Works on plant instruments as detailed by authorities
- Works on plant scada and PLC system
- Prepares reports
- Installs and calibrates plant instruments as required
- Ensures the availability of instrument spares
- Any ad-hoc duties as assigned
Grading: Senior Staff
Required Skills or Experience
Applicant must have:
- HND in Electrical Engineering
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience
Attitudes & Personal Qualities:
- Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to read and understand electrical and instrumentation diagrams
- Must be able to install and calibrate field instruments
- Have flexible attitude to working hours

3. Metallurgist
Department: Process
Reports To: Senior Metallurgist
Summary of Duties:
Assists the Senior Metallurgist with plant optimization, accurate metal accounting and gold reporting functions of the plant.
Job Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Carries out assigned metallurgical tests
- Assist the Senior Plant Metallurgist in preparing plant metallurgical reports
- Updates metallurgical data
- Assists the Senior metallurgist in preparing plant samples and gold-smelt sheet
- Monitors daily plant metallurgical performance and reagents consumption
- Monitors plant parameters as Shift Metallurgist
Grading: Senior Staff
Required Skills or Experience
Applicant must have:
- University degree in Mineral Processing or Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering with 5 years of experience
Attitudes & Personal Qualities:
- Ability to plan, coordinate and execute work plans
- Ability to build team work and cooperation among team members
- Must have over 3 years experience in gold floatation
4. Assistant Manager (Technical)
Department: Process
Reports To: Group Chief Metallurgist
Subordinates: Senior Metallurgist, Metallurgists
Summary of Duties:
To provide advice and recommendation to the Group Chief Metallurgist on metallurgical activities and to manage accurate metal accounting, reporting and gold reporting functions of the plant.
Job Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Implements tests work on current and future ore bodies to be exploited
- Performs reviews on assets/acquisitions and report findings to Group Chief Metallurgist
- Advises the Group Chief Metallurgist on policies, strategies and other matters relating to metal accounting, recovery and reporting for the mine
- Supervises the metallurgical operations of the process plant
- Monitors metallurgical parameters and initiates actions to ensure production optimization
- Develops and implements systems and procedures for the preparation and submission of daily, weekly and metallurgical data
- Prepares and submits periodic metallurgical reports
- Provides technical inputs on operating and capital budgets for the department and ensures efficient utilization of resources
- Manages the preparation of periodic reports on process plant operations
- Manages metallurgical projects in the process plant
- Identifies and develops strategies to manage key performance areas
- Analyze, review and assist with plant control philosophy/systems
- Manages the records of gold-smelt register and bullion reconciliation
- Develops and implements systems for the consumption of reagents
- Monitors to ensure that the environmental and safety policies, regulations and standards are adhered to in by technical staff
- Any other jobs assigned to him/her by the Group Chief Metallurgist

Required Skills or Experience
Applicant must have:
- University degree in Mineral Processing or Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering with 10 years of experience
Attitudes & Personal Qualities:
- Ability to plan, coordinate and execute work plan
- Ability to build team work and cooperation among team members
- Ability to design and implement control systems and take corrective actions to streamline deviations
- Must have over 5 years experience in floatation
