Background:
Northfin Foundation is an NGO head quartered in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region of Ghana. Northfin is currently collaborating with the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) on the implementation of the “Onion Farmer’s Livelihood and Value Chain Improvement Project” in the Bawku West District under the Food Security and Environment Facility (FSEF) project.
The project aims to improve the livelihood security of 3,000 onion farmers and their families in Bawku West district and their active participation in local, regional and national economic development processes is enhanced in a sustainable way.
For effective implementation of this project, Northfin is looking for a dynamic and experienced person to fill the position of a Project Officer .The position is based in Zebilla and reports directly to the Project Coordinator.
The goal of the three (3) year project is to improve the incomes and livelihood security of 3000 onion farmers in the Bawku West District through improved production and marketing of onions.
Job Description
Duration: 2 years, with possibility of renewal
Duty station: Zebilla – Upper East Region (with regular travelling within and outside the Bawku West district)

Negotiable, but within prevailing market rates offered by similar NGOs in northern Ghana.
