Job Description

Job Title: Accounting specialist

Role Overview:

As Philips in West Africa is growing, we are strengthening our local organization with ERP and accounting services for the region. To achieve this we would like to expand the team with an accounting specialist.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • General Ledger accounting
  • Supplier accounts reconciliation and update Vendor accounts where necessary
  • Vat/Withholding tax and other Tax Returns
  • Liaise with suppliers to provide them with their withholding Tax certificates
  • Month end reporting
  • Payable and Expense report processing
  • Journal entries related to various accruals and accounts
  • Weekly Cash Forecasting
  • Process Supplier invoices
  • Additional duties as assigned

Education, critical Experience and skills:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 1-2 years’ work experience in accounting
  • Part Qualification ( ACCA, ICA, CIMA) is an added advantage
