Plato Consult Ghana: Finance Manager

The Finance Manager shall be responsible for the establishing and maintaining financial management procedures of the company and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements as relating to the organization and regulatory bodies. Role reports to the Managing Director

Key responsibilities include;
Managing the accounts of the firm to comply with the statutory and international requirements and conventions;
Develop efficient systems, processes and procedures relevant for the business and provide documentation for support
Prepare various analyses for the needs of the top management.
Lead the annual planning process to ensuring that the various departmental budgets are based on sound financial and economic assumptions and are aligned to the business objectives.
Provide insightful and relevant information and analysis of business results to management covering: underlying volume growth, changes in prices, revenue by customer type, revenue by sector type, customer profitability and channel profitability.
Develop and implement adequate internal controls and ensure the continuous protection of company assets and integrity of financial reports.
Provide analysis of the viability of investments proposals with alternative solutions and their implications.
Review all major contracts with suppliers of goods and services and highlight any financial implications. Provide alternative solutions in the reviews to protect the interest of the company
Champion the identification and management of business risk from all decisions taken by the business team

Required Skills or Experience

8 years minimum experience in a similar position with 3 years in managerial role
Masters Degree from a recognized university in Finance/Accounting
ACCA, ICAG, CFA
Good oral and written communication
Proficient in MS office suite
Knowledge of accounting software is a plus
Good presentation skills
