Plato Consult Limited Recruits Litigation Lawyer

The Litigation Lawyer shall be responsible for providing legal advice and support to organization on litigation and dispute resolution under the supervision of a Senior Litigation Lawyer or Head of Litigation Law where appropriate. The role reports to the Head of Litigation Law.

The role has the following responsibilities;
Provide accurate, effective and timely legal advice, analysis and support for the company on litigation matters and dispute resolution of significant strategic and/or financial value to the organization
Provide advice on how to structure litigation and dispute resolution processes and takes responsibility for the general direction in the resolution of disputes and litigation taking into account the commercial background and key legal issues
Draft and negotiate any relevant legal documents relating to litigation matters and disputes for the organization
Maintain effective contacts with relevant individuals in the business and in other support functions
Provide regular reports and updates to line manager and to clients, as appropriate
Assist in the training of the business on key litigation issues
Act as lawyer for the organization in the District Court, Circuit Court, High Court and other judicial bodies.
Perform any other legal duties that may be assigned by the Head of Litigation Law or by the Head, Legal & Company Secretary
Manager of self. Exchange ideas and information effectively, to explain ideas and concepts in a concise and logical manner.

Required Skills or Experience

Role specific qualification;
Bachelor of Law Degree
Must be called to the Bar in Ghana
5 years work experience as a Barrister in Ghanaian courts
Must be familiar with telecommunications law
Must have excellent communication skills
Evidence of strong work ethics (punctuality, regularity, reliability)
