Job Description

The successful candidate will actively coordinate centralized purchasing between us and our client and maintain required inventory levels of items, as well as create purchase orders for the acquisition of materials

Monitor procurement implementation and update the procurement plans for the procurement of goods and services between with the client
Prepares and submits complete, accurate and appropriate procurement, encumbrance and payment documents for approval and processing from the mines
Ensure all related documents are included in the respective files, to ensure ease of retrieval of information and the ease of following the paper trail of procurement
Develops and conducts surveys and needs assessment tools to identify replacement needs and support budget requests
Develops and maintains Excel data bases designed to track procurement activities
Process backup reports daily and manage the weekly check run
Maintain procurement records such as invoices, items or services purchased and equipments inventories

Required Skills or Experience

Excellent communication skills, to exchange information, explain procedures, techniques and answer questions in a clear logical manner
Exercise good judgment in safeguarding confidential or sensitive information and adhere to high standards of confidentiality and honesty
Excellent Computer skills
A degree or equivalent in relative field
Be able to mobilize at short notice
Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in purchasing, materials planning and related services within a mining industry will be appreciated
