The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG). An NGO and a Member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), and a Leading Provider of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Education and Services.
Job Purpose:
To provide efficient management of PPAG Clincis and ensure that related projects and programmes for the Clinics are successfully implemented.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Carry out the policies and the directives of the Association in the Department and submit status report to the Director of Programmes
• Provide technical assistance and supportive supervision to all Clinical staff and service delivery sites
• Ensure that Quality of Care (QoC) standards are maintained in all the Clinics and service delivery sites
• Liaise with other Programme Managers to ensure that project agreements are adhered to
• Ensure effective and efficient utilisation of Ghana Health Service (GHS) and IPPF service delivery guidelines and protocols
• Ensure that clients’ and providers’ rights are adhered to in our clinics
• Develop a referral policy/guidelines for the clinics use
• Prepare and coordinate an effective referral system
• Assist in co-ordination and analysis of service statistics and keep management informed
• Assist in the preparation of Annual Programme Budget (APB), Half Year and Annual Reports
• Monitor and evaluate clinical activities including mid-term reviews and needs assessments
Qualification Required & Experience
• Have a second degree in Public Health, Nursing or any relevant field from a recognised university with a minimum of eight (8) years relevant working experience, five (5) of which must be in a management position
• Have a good knowledge in Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and its related issues
• Be highly skilled in the use of the computer
• Have a high sense of responsibility, accuracy and judgment
• Have the ability to manage crisis, make decisions and take initiatives
• Have very good supervisory, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Be a team player
• Must have good management and writing skills
• Be able to work under pressure and for long hours
• Be willing to travel at short notices
