Redavia Tanzania Asset Ltd is an innovative solar PV rental business that provides containerised off-grid power to businesses and communities in Tanzania. InfraCo Africa is providing the capital and support needed to rapidly scale up this business, with the intention of deploying 30 containers across rural Tanzania.

Redavia, the pioneering rental solar power company is hiring staffs to establish and grow the company’s footprint and customer base among industrial and utility-sector clients in West Africa based out of Accra, Ghana with a target start date of early July 2017.

Job Description

Job Title: Director Of Sales

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall implementation of strategies to achieve West Africa’s sales growth objectives. This role reports directly to the Chief Sales Officer of Redavia.

The Director of Sales will have the following responsibilities:

Sales:

· Accelerate Redavia’s sales growth, while meeting or exceeding quarterly targets

· Negotiate and close solar farm rental agreements in line with Redavia’s commercial guidelines

· Identifying potential customers / lessees for rental solar farms

· Visiting customers across West Africa in countries such as Ghana, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Mali, Senegal to bring lease contracts to close

· Manage client decision making processes and technical inputs to close deals

Customer Account Management:

· Strong knowledge of working with CRM, documentations and reporting

· Managing client communications during the manufacturing and deployment phases of a rental solar farm project

· Resolving contractual and commercial issues throughout deployment

· Ensure ongoing customer relationship management to secure upsell opportunities

Support:

· Support the development of an effective cross-functional team by following up and facilitating communication of key sales initiatives to internal and external customers

· Analyze and report on business performance of territory on weekly basis including:

· Follow up on customer product complaints and coordinate after sales service team and relevant officers to ensure prompt problem resolution

· Manage sales executives selling expenses budget and meet a minimum monthly/quarterly sales target

· Competitors information and general economy of territory

· Report on customer satisfaction and business development in assigned territory

· Recommend promotion initiatives for territory and manage promotion logistics Helping the company develop and execute its Go-To-Market strategy aimed at positioning itself as the market leader in the rental solar space

· Support the lead generation strategy including branding, advertising, events and conference presences

Qualification and Requirements

Candidate Credentials and Track Record:

· Minimum 5-10 years of demonstrated experience with B2B Sales, within the energy market or other heavy machinery into the mining, SME or other industrial sectors in West Africa

· Excellent track-record in closing deals

· Proven track-record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

· Knows and is known in the African, especially mining and SME segments

Background:

· Bachelor degree in related fields is required

· Native English speaker plus French knowledge or proficiency desired

· Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering background preferred

· Minimum of 5-10 years of success in a best-practice sales organization

Personal Qualities:

· Sales professional with a strong closer mindset

· Affinity with a rigorously tracked and process-driven sales organization

· Highly developed skills in customer and internal stakeholder management

· Enjoys extensive travel across West Africa and the world

· Comfortable with negotiating commercial contracts and taking commercial decisions

· Uses hands-on approach to pragmatically solve issues independently

· Enjoys the challenge of growing a new company’s sales volume

· Possesses a non-hierarchical attitude and strong team spirit

· Affinity with power sector, especially renewable energy and sustainable development
