Vehicle Inspection & Quality Control Manager
Job Location: Tema
Reporting To: General Manager
Job Purposes:
- To ensure vehicle tests, inspections, and installation of Fleet Management equipment are done according to laid down internal procedures and against other required standards
- Monitor to ensure relevant and adequate quality control measures are in workplace
Summary of Principal Accountabilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate records (soft and hard copy) of all works done in the workshop
- Ensure regular maintenance and calibration of all vehicle testing equipment
- Prepare and submit monthly reports on workshop activities
- Perform regular reviews of work procedures for relevance and compliance to OHS & E standards
- Manage the performance of Workshop Team
- Perform regular quality audits of processes
Required Skills or Experience
- BSc. Mechanical Engineer or equivalent
- 5yrs practical working experience in repair and maintenance of Heavy Goods Vehicles – HGV
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel
- Must have valid Driver’s License. Ability to drive a Tractor-Trailer will be an advantage
- Good written and oral communication in English
- Prior experience in vehicle inspection and knowledge/experience in an ISO 9002:2008 environment will be an advantage
- Must be trust worthy and be able to work without supervision
- Must be a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers -GhIE
