Saboba/Chereponi Rural Bank is a newly-registered rural bank in Saboba/Chereponi in the Northern Region with a provisional banking license approved by the Bank of Ghana.
1. Manager:
Job Description
The promoters of the bank are seeking suitably qualified persons to fill the above vacancy.
Job Purpose:
The successful applicant shall have the overall supervisory responsibilities for the effective functioning of the bank.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist the Board to formulate policies and develop procedures for carrying out the functions of bank
- Provide leadership and guidance for the bank through co-ordination of activities of all the departments and agencies of the bank
- Prepare and present relevant technical papers to the Board of Directors
- Responsible for the operational and financial administration/management of the bank
- Implement decisions and strategies of the Board
- Establish linkages between the Bank of Ghana and the ARB Apex Bank as well as other financial institutions and external bodies
- Responsible for the preparation and submission of prudential returns to regulatory bodies, strategic planning, human and physical resource management
- Ensure compliance with the Banking Act, 2004 (Act 673), the ARB Apex Bank Regulations (LI 1825), 2006 and other relevant legislations
Required Skills or Experience
- A minimum of a first degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised University plus 10 years work experience in the banking industry and should have served as a Manger for 5 years or
- A relevant professional qualification plus 7 years post-qualification experience in the banking industry and should have served in the capacity of a Manager for four (4) years
- Experience in a rural banking environment is highly preferred and the ideal candidate should be a self-starter capable of evolving and implementing programmes to start and grow the bank
- Must be computer literate
- Candidate must have drive, initiative, business acumen and be results-oriented
2. Accountant:
Job Description
The promoters of the bank are seeking suitably qualified persons to fill the above vacancy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- To assist the Manager in the day-to-day management/administration of the bank
- To perform other duties which may be assigned by the Manager or the Board
Required Skills or Experience
- A minimum of HND/GCE ‘A’ Level/CA Part II or any other equivalent qualification with 7 years work experience in the banking industry, 5 years of which must be at a senior level. Experience in a rural bank is preferable
- Must be computer literate
3. Cashiers/Clerks
Job Description
The promoters of the bank are seeking suitably qualified persons to fill the above vacancy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- To perform cashiering/clerical and other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Manager or Accountant.
Required Skills or Experience
- A minimum of Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting Option). Experience in cashiering/clerical duties in a bank will be an advantage
- Must be computer literate
