Job Description

The Sales Manager – Tools and Consumables, key responsibility is to manage the strategic and operational competitiveness of the Sandvik Ground Engaging Tools (GET), Sandvik Rock Drilling Tools (SRT) Sandvik Rock Processing wear parts (SRP) and Fire Suppression product lines throughout their life cycle into West Africa

This role includes developing, testing and expanding of sales into new and existing markets whilst implementing the right mix of products into the market to ensure growth and market share gains are realized

In addition to this sales Manager – Tools and Consumables, will be responsible for the successful forecasting of quantities and market needs to ensure factory production and stock holdings are sufficient to meet the current and future needs, whilst maintain the relevant KPI’s as identified by the Logistics Manager.

Key Performance Areas:

ü  To improve Sandvik’s market share by 5% for year 2011 and 10% for year 2012

ü  To be proactive and sustain competitve advantages over the competition

ü  To provide a value add service to our market, thus avoiding selling by price only

ü  Develop relationships that will differentiate our products from the competitors

ü  Compensation and Benefits: The compensation package will be structured to attract and retain the services of a high-calibre professional

Required Skills or Experience

ü  First Degree in Engineering with 3 years experience in the sale and marketing of Engineering products

ü  Good written and oral communications skills, Proficiency in the French Language would be viewed as a distinct and advantage Intermediate skills in MS Office Applications

ü  Ability to work with different cultures and travel frequently throughout Ghana and West Africa

ü  Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary matrix form team and provide guidance to members of the team

ü  Prior knowledge of Rock drilling tools is required, and knowledge of GET, SRT and Fire Suppression, would be viewed as a distinct advantage. Possession of valid drivers license

ü  Willing and able to live and perform work and obtain work/residency permit in Ghana a must.
