Job Description
Purpose of Job:
Developing training materials as well as offering actual training which is adapted and integrated with technical training as well as customers on our expertise for their productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify needs for, develop, introduce, implement and follow up global training programs that are in line with the Sandvik Mining and construction West Africa strategy and global market plans with a special focus on Ghana
- Develop and produce training materials for technical competence development together with Training Academy
- Conduct internal and external product and application training
- Offer basic product and technical training in both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines
- Support on-site product and application training and demonstration
- Being responsible for training programs with focus on technical training
- Being part of ensuring that the training plan for Ghana is followed
- Being part of ensuring that all technical training within Sandvik follows certain standards and certifications
- Being part of ensuring that the potential for new ways of training (eLearning, blended learning, etc) is exploited where applicable
- Other position related tasks requested by Manager
Required Skills or Experience
Your Profile:
- Bachelor degree or above in mechanical engineering, aerospace or automotive
- Minimum 5 years technical background or training experience with mining industry concepts
- Good problem solving and presentation skills, ability to manage time and to prioritize tasks
- Good command of the English language and PC skills
- Business skills – Being able to see the importance of training as a vehicle to develop market shares and increases sales
- Pedagogic skills – Understanding adult training
- Training skills – Being able to lead training, run workshops with 5-20 people
Special requirements
- The position will require significant travel around Ghana and West Africa
- This is position is based in Obuasi, Ghana
