Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Manager, Issuers

To assist in handling the technical and administrative duties of the Issuers Department.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Head, Issuers Department, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Conducting on-site inspections of issuers of securities to the public to ensure compliance with the Companies Act 1963, Act 179, Securities laws and IFRS.
• Reviewing annual reports and quarterly financial statements submitted by listed companies.
• Reviewing of securities offer documents to ensure full disclosure of relevant information to the investing public.
• Examining mergers and acquisition applications.

Required Skills or Experience

• B.Sc. Administration (Accounting) or equivalent qualification.
• Partly qualified in CA, ACCA, CIMA.
• MBA Accounting/Finance will be an advantage.
• A minimum of six (6) years post-first degree experience.

Competencies and Skills

• Knowledge and experience in securities market operations.
• Must be computer literate.
