The Laboratory Technician shall be responsible for gathering samples for analytical and laboratory testing to determine if they meet company standards. The role reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor

Role Specific Requirements:

• Conducts qualitative and quantitative testing of raw materials and beverages
• Operates mixing equipment efficiently and safely
• Blends raw materials to produce syrups according to company standards
• Operates water treatment system and conducts water testing
• Sanitizes all syrup mixing equipment to standards Maintains, cleans and calibrates lab instruments
• Conducts package quality inspections
• Maintains records on batching, inventories and production
• Generates daily and  weekly summary reports on all results
• Maintains highest housekeeping standards
• Identifies and isolates any product that does not conform to standards
• Conducts market surveys

Required Skills or Experience

Minimum Qualification:

• HND in Laboratory Technology
• 2 years work experience
• Good Statistical Process Control background
• Good oral and written communication
• Strong IT background in  MS suite

The Waste Water Treatment Technician shall be responsible for the treatment and maintenance of plant effluent in line with the Company’s Quality specifications and also ensure efficiency in waste management processes. The role reports to the Production Services Supervisor

Role Specific Requirements:

• Operate the waste water treatment plant to ensure that all the required parameters as outlined in the process sheet are within specifications
• Carry out mechanical maintenance to ensure equipment availability and functionality
• Assist in the operation and maintenance of equipment in the utilities section
• Monitor the status of reagents and chemicals and consumables and initiates  requisition for them and other spares needed for operation
• Maintain good health and safety standards
• Liaise with the electrical maintenance team to carry out electrical maintenance work in the unit
• Ensures efficient operational status of equipment in the treatment plant
• Analyze and ensure the right concentration of treatment chemicals in the water

Required Skills or Experience

Minimum Qualification:

• HND in Electrical/ Mechanical engineering or equivalent
• 2 years work experience
• Good Statistical Process Control background
• Good oral and written communication
• Strong IT background in  MS suite
• Knowledge of the process of waste management
• Knowledge of policies and procedures of waste management in Ghana

The Water Treatment Technician shall be responsible for treating portable water for the purpose of production. The role reports to the Production Services Lead

Role Specific Requirements:

• Operate water treatment machines and equipment
• Ensure the right concentration of treatment chemicals in the water
• Carry out all routine laboratory test and other non-routine work in the section
• Undertake regular inspection of the water treatment equipment
• Clean the water treatment plant as per the recommended schedule
• Generate daily and weekly summary reports on all parameters
• Maintain, clean and calibrate lab instruments in the section
• Monitor and evaluate the status of the sand, carbon and sand filters & replace same
• Initiate corrective action on any result that fall out of company specification
• Troubleshoot and report detected mechanical and electrical faults on the water treatment equipment
• Recover and treat backwash water for reuse to reduce total cost of water
• Maintain good housekeeping
