The Roman Ridge School Ghana: Head of Senior School

The Roman Ridge School seeks to employ the services of an energetic forward-thinking individual to serve as Head of Senior School (Form Three to Upper Six), effective 1 August 2011.

Required Skills or Experience

• Candidates must hold a good 1st degree in an academic subject, with a Masters/Postgraduate qualification a plus
• Candidates must also demonstrate the leadership qualities and professional characteristics necessary for working effectively with our students, our staff and our parents across the entire school, and, should preferably have worked in education for a minimum of 10 years, with at least 3 years experience as a Deputy Head or a similar position of responsibility in a school setting
• A strong working knowledge of the UK National Curriculum is a must, as well as practical experience with the IGCSE, AS & A Level syllabus
• A familiarity with the UK Independent Schools system of education is a definite advantage
