1. Financial Analyst – Local Capacity Development

The position is located in the Regional Office of Financial Management (ROFM). The Financial Analyst (FA) will specifically be assigned to expand USAID/Ghana’s efforts under the Local Capacity Development (LCD) initiative in working with both local organizations and host government entities in Ghana and the region.

Position may be based in Northern Ghana for an extended period of time.

Salary Range: GH¢ 24,604.00 – 36,904.00 p.a. (depending on qualification and experience)

Required Skills or Experience

Education & Prior Work Experience:

  • A University degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is required. A Master’s degree in an area of speciality and/or a formal CPA/ACCA/ICA certification is highly desirable. Five years of progressively responsible experience in professional accounting, auditing, or financially oriented business management is required. Prior CPA firm audit experience is highly desirable.

Skills and abilities:

  • Must have an unusual ability to detect the financial strength and vulnerabilities of activity design and implementation actions. Must have excellent analytical ability to analyze data and assess its reliability to and value, detect the financial strengthens and weaknesses of programs, and to make independent judgements regarding the institutional capabilities and the adequacy of accounting systems and internal controls
2. Project Management Assistant

USAID/West Africa is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Ghanaian for the position of Project Management Assistant.

  • The position is located in the Regional Agriculture Office (RAO), USAID Mission to West Africa. The position is responsible for performing tasks related to the consolidation, documentation, and tracking of program activities and financial information.

Salary Range: GH¢13, 641 – 20, 461 p.a. (depending on qualification and experience) 

Required Skills or Experience

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a social science, business or public administration is required. At least five years of progressively responsible experience in relief or development-related work, which has included working with teams to develop solutions, writing reports, and using program data to improve effectiveness.
  • Ability to analyze programming issues and to communicate effectively. Good interpersonal skills, including an ability to work as a member of a team, build consensus, provide leadership, and effectively coordinate with internal and external stakeholders in a multi-cultural setting.
  • Ability to organize work, develop schedules, and meet deadlines. Knowledge of word processing, e-mail, power point and spreadsheet computer applications. Fluency in both English and French languages is required.
3. Supervisory Financial Analyst – Local Capacity Development

USAID/West Africa is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Ghanaian for the position of Supervisory Financial Analyst – Local Capacity Development.

  • The position is located in the Regional Office of Financial Management (ROFM). The Supervisory Financial Analyst (SFA) will specifically be assigned to expand USAID/Ghana’s efforts under the Local Capacity Development (LCD) initiative in working with both local organizations and host government entities in Ghana and the region.

Salary Range: GH¢32,928.00 – 49,388.00 p.a. (depending on qualification and experience) 

Required Skills or Experience

Education & Prior Work Experience:

  • A University degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration field and a Master’s degree in an area of specialty and/or CPA/ACCA/ICA certification is required. Seven years of progressively responsible experience in professional accounting, auditing, or financially oriented business management are required. Prior CPA firm audit experience is highly desirable

Skills and abilities:

  • Must have an unusual ability to detect the financial strength and vulnerabilities of activity design and implementation actions. Must understand macroeconomic elements that affect the Government of Ghana (GoG) and capacity development. Must be able to communicate clearly with senior management, GoG and local entities and be able to implement training programs
