The responsibilities for this position include but not limited to the following:

  • Ensure that the organisation’s vehicles are in good working condition by scheduling routine maintenance and servicing of all company vehicles and monitoring the implementation of an effective maintenance and servicing schedule
  • Co-ordinate the procurement of genuine spare parts and accessories for all company vehicles at competitive rates in line with Company Policy
  • Co-ordinate the valuation of vehicles used as collaterals by prospective clients
  • Build very good relationship with external parties to facilitate timely delivery of service
  • Generate and submit timely monthly reports to management on the performance of all company vehicles indicating fuel usage, maintenance costs and other details
  • Ensure that the transport section of the organisation is run in a cost efficient manner

 

Required Skills or Experience

  • 1st Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years relevant work experience is required
  • A professional qualification in Transport Management/Procurement/Logistics is required
  • Possession of a Valid Driving License with excellent driving Skills
  • Knowledge of Vehicle Mechanics
  • An astute business Sense
  • Knowledge of Fleet Management
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • A tolerant disposition
  • A high sense of integrity with attention to detail
  • Time consciousness and reliability
