Executive Chef vacancy

We are looking for an Executive Chef to take full responsibility for the hotel’s private functions, events, restaurant and room service. Be confident with a thorough knowledge of kitchen management and developing staff. The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is essential to success in this role as well as a real passion for food.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Decide the menus and the frequency in which the menu changes
  • Establish good relationships with suppliers to ensure better discounts and contract terms
  • Train and manage kitchen personnel
  • Supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • Select and develop recipes
  • Establish presentation technique and quality standards
  • Plan and price menus
  • Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance
  • Ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen

 

Required Skills or Experience

  • Ideally possess a bachelor’s degree or related culinary degree
  • 8 or more years of industry and culinary management experience
  • Ideally have some start up experience
  • Ideally have worked within a luxury 5* hotel
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and staff
  • Demonstrate outstanding leadership skills
  • Respond effectively to changing trends and customers’ tastes
