Job Description

The Position:

The Internal Auditor shall be Head of the Internal Audit Unit of the Polytechnic
She/he shall be responsible to the Rector for the internal audit matters of the Polytechnic in accordance with the Internal Audit Agency Act, 2003 (Act 658)
She/he shall exercise an efficient professional and administrative supervision over the internal audit system of the Polytechnic and shall submit periodic internal audit system of the Polytechnic and shall submit periodic internal audit reports of the Polytechnic to the Council through the Rector
She/he shall perform any other functions as may be assigned to him by the Rector

Required Skills or Experience

The candidate:

Must have a good first degree (or its equivalent) in related discipline with a proven record of professional competence. A higher qualification will be an advantage
Must be a member of a relevant Professional Body
Must have a strong background in industry with strong links with business and industry
Must have proven leadership and management capabilities
Must have drive, vision and strong resource mobilization skills
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, good moral conduct and a high sense of honesty and integrity
