WaterAid is looking for a Policy Manager to play a vital role in our mission to transform lives with safe water, sanitation and hygiene in the world’s poorest communities.

Job Description

Job Title: Policy Manager

Working with the Policy, Advocacy & Campaigns Team and Reporting to the Head of Policy, Advocacy & Campaigns, the Policy Manager will lead in conducting analysis of developments in national and sector policy, while advocating for policies and practices that promote the realisation of the rights to water and sanitation in Ghana.

To be successful, you’ll need to have a degree-level education in development studies and/or social science, with a postgraduate qualification/Master’s or equivalent, substantial experience in policy and advocacy work, the Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA), programme management in a development field, or INGO working experience on gender equality. You’ll also need substantial knowledge of the WASH sector and working knowledge of the rights-based approach principles, as well as being results-orientated, committed to excellence, collaborative and passionate about equity and inclusion principles and social justice/change.
