Data Center Technical Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Data Center Technical Officer. The role is to assists in the timely processing of all production processing and production system monitoring. The position should endorse the department’s mission of providing production job support and monitoring of production systems while ensuring timely delivery of production data to meet all outlined service level agreements.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for following established procedures for batch processing, backups, troubleshooting, and the signoff of all assigned production jobs.
Identifies problems as they occur and insures proper steps are taken to resolve those problems.
Initiates corrective action under direction of senior technical officer and within the scope of knowledge, informs manager of problems.
Maintains security during while monitoring Data Center Environmental Equipment to include: UPS, Air Conditioning Units, PDU’s etc.
Enforces security procedures and policies for entry into the Data Center.
Must be able to work in a 24-7 (weekend and/or shift rotation schedule), multi-system, multi-platform environment and use the tools available to maintain system performance and recommend changes where needed.

Required Skills or Experience


Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of 2 years of IT/Operations experience working in a corporate environment.
Ability to initialize and operate computer hardware and software systems;
Ability to utilize computer operating systems utilities;
Working knowledge of server environments and network technology,
SQL Enterprise Manger experience required,
Database exposure preferred;
Must be PC literate and be able to use Microsoft Office products (Access, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc);
Knowledge of computer job control procedures;
Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Strong troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and organizational skills are essential; the ability to multi-task, ability to document work in progress.
