Job Description

The Council of  Wisconsin International University College, Ghana invites the applications for the position of Vice-Principal:

The Position:

The Vice-Principal plays a leading role in the administration and management of the University College and acts for the Principal in his absence. His/her responsibility include:
Leading all aspects of the university’s work on the quality and standards of its programmes
Recruitment, training, promotion and discipline of staff
Establishing and monitoring enrollment targets for student recruitment and promoting a rich student environment
Enhancing and promoting research and scholarly activities of the university college
Monitoring and promoting improvement in the institutional climate
Developing and implementing the university’s strategies in marketing, external relations and communications, and fund raising
Terms of Appointment:
The terms and conditions for the positions include a competitive remuneration package

Required Skills or Experience

The candidate must be a scholar of high credentials with an earned PhD in any discipline. In addition he/she must have:

Demonstrated leadership skills and management ability at university level
Proven capacity to promote teaching and learning in the university
A commitment to cultural diversity and relevant experience in student governance and diversity issues
Ability to shape and implement strategic goals for the institution
A minimum qualification of an earned PhD in any discipline from a recognized university
At least fifteen (10) years post qualification work experience in teaching and administration in a university or analogous institution
