World Vision International is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. For over two decades. World Vision has been working with urban and rural communities in all the 10 Regions of Ghana to improve provision of water, promote sanitation and hygiene practices and quality education.

World Vision through a USAID funded Education project in Ghana known as the Transition and Persistence Program (TAP). The TAP project seeks to increase access to junior High School (JHS) by re/constructing and rehabilitating of junior high schools to increase access to equitable and quality education for schools in the rural communities of Ghana.

Job Description

Job Summary:
To ensure items are cost effectively delivered, by appropriately and accurately performing and leveraging market analyses to support and facilitate commodity procurement decision

Job Responsibilities:

Provide assistance in procurement negotiations to the Projects with potential suppliers
Provide procurement operational support to other offices in the region
Liaise with and advise the procurement committee on issues of procurement
Partner with end users and procurement office in ensuring clear specifications are identified during initiation of procurement process
Provide guidance on management and establishment of tracking and reporting of benefits and key internal and supplier performance metrics
Continuous communication of supply chain processes and initiatives to end users and stakeholders
Develop and strengthen professional relationship between the project and its suppliers
Required Skills or Experience

Person Specification:

A university degree in Admin/B.Com/Management +2 years experience or HND in Purchasing and supply
Good Negotiation skills
Communication and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge on Word/PowerPoint & Excel
The preferred candidate must, be a committed Christian.
