Job Description

Job Title: Finance Controller

Yara Ghana is now looking for a Finance Controller to join it’s team. The position will report to the CFO and will be located in Accra.

Key tasks will include:

• Deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual reports
• Support the annual business plan/budgeting process
• Manage the year end audit
• Continually improve process and ensuring good financial controls are maintained at all times
• Develop and maintain a good knowledge of the operations of the business and the activities of other departments within the business for efficient
• and effective financial and cost management
• Ensure integrity of financial information by implementing and monitoring appropriate controls
• Develop currency exposure reports. Design and implement the hedging strategy
• Ensure strong balance sheet control
• Ensure adequate inventory controls are in place
• Accounts Receivable management
• Responsible for handling all matters related to tax. Prepare monthly cost analysis per cost centre and advice on variances to the budget

Required Skills or Experience

Profile:

• Degree in Finance; post-graduate studies
• Minimum 4 years working experience in Finance and Accounting, preferably with experiences in controlling and reporting
• Strong accounting and financial knowledge
• Experience with ERP systems and Hyperion/Reporting systems is preferred
• Enthusiastic approach and willingness to learn
• Strong analytical skills with attention to details
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Ability to work independently and at the same time good teamwork skills
• Prior experience in an international operation or multinational is an advantage
• Fluency in English
