Job Description

Ensuring HR policies and procedures are adhered to and best practices in Human Resource Management are followed in the region
Assist in the recruitment of regional staff in accordance with HR policies and procedures
Identifying and analyzing staff training needs in conjunction with the respective Regional Supervisor and the Human Resource Manager
Planning and deliverying training and orientation programs for new staff
Managing the welfare issues of staff as dictated by the welfare constitution
Administering HR policies and procedures, absence management and health and safety
Undertaking regular salary surveys in comparator organisations, public and private sector to ensure salaries of staff are competitive in the region
Collate information on staff salaries and ensure the timely submission to the head office for processing
Maintaining and updating staff records regularly in the region
Interpreting and advising on employment legislation to staff
Listening to grievances implementing disciplinary policies and procedures in accordanc with HR policies and procedures
Developing HR planning strategies which consider immediate and long-term staffing requirements in terms of numbers and skill levels for the region
Monitor daily attendance of staff and investigate staff absenteeism

Required Skills or Experience

Educational Qualification:

BSc in HRM/Psychology, BBA (HRM) or Management studies from a recognised university
Three (3) to five (5) years experience in a similar position
Skills, Abilities, Compentencies:
Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Hardworking, team player, result-oriented and the ability to multitask
Very fair and firm personality
Good working knowledge of Ghana Labour Act 651
Candidate must have own accomodation and reside in Koforidua, Tamale or Bolgatanga
