Ada Rural Bank Ltd is a locally operated financial institution which empowers its Management personnel to make local decisions towards serving customers,  shareholders and society at large. It was Incorporated on 27th November 1981 but commenced business on 13th August 1982 with the opening of an account by Nene Kabu Abram Akuaku III, paramount chief of Ada traditional area.

Job Title 1: Credit Manager

Job Description

The above-named financial institution seeks to employ suitably qualified Ghanaians for the above position.

Key Responsiblities:

  • Seek for customers, assess their credit needs and make the necessary recommendations in accordance with existing policies and procedures
  • Monitor loans granted and ensure that they are repaid on schedule
  • The successful candidates will be in charge of reviewing credit proposals or applications received from corporate, SME and individual clients of the Bank
  • Carry out review of the business, financial and lending analyses including interviewing clients in order to ascertain their suitability and viability for lending purposes
  • Ensure that credit standards, risks procedures and risks controls are compiled with and enhanced
  • Prepare periodic industry/economic reports on all clients granted in order to ensure that requisite due diligence is carried out before endorsing any credit proposal
  • Generally manage the Bank’s credit portfolio in the best way possible 

Required Skills or Experience

Key Qualifications & Competencies:

  • A good First Degree in Commerce, Accounting or Economics; or a professional qualification like the Intermediate of CA (Ghana) and ACIB (Ghana)
  • A minimum of five (5) years experience in credit appraisal, monitoring and management
  • Good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Dynamic, independent, self-motivated and team player
  • Strong sales planning and management skills

Job Title 2: Marketing Manager

Job Description

The above-named financial institution seeks to employ suitably qualified Ghanaians for the above position.

Responsiblities:

  • Overseeing the provision of services and the promotion of products
  • Developing marketing and service policies, programmes and systems to support strategic direction
  • Aligning business plans with organisation objective
  • Directing implementation and execution of marketing and service policies and practices
  • Ensuring marketing communications are co-ordinated
  • Supporting marketing plan objectives and meeting organisation expenditure requirements
  • Providing leadership and supporting the design, development and implementation of products and service lines
  • Managing marketing service department including development and distribution of all marketing material
  • Setting pricing strategies and introducing new products 

Required Skills or Experience

The Person (Qualifications & Competencies):

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Marketing Option) from a recognised institution
  • At least 35 years old as at 31st May, 2013
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar position
  • Proven track record of developing Sales & Marketing strategies in prior organisations, including successful delivery of results
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with team
  • Ability to craft and execute strategy; self-starter and visionary as well as disciplined in execution and good at reporting successes and failures
  • Practical application of concepts of sales and marketing skill
  • Ethical and transparent business acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast paced and dynamic environment
