Ore Sample Preparation – Supervisor

The primary purpose of this role is the responsibility for efficient day to day supervision of ore sample flows through the sample preparation area, and ensure maximum sample handling efficiency while maintaining a high standard of quality
Accurate and timely dispatch of properly recorded prepared ore samples

Required Skills or Experience

At the AMSG Mine Site in Ghana or any other site where the company operates:

Tertiary Qualifications relating to Laboratory Technician course or Chemistry with experience in mining laboratory environment
The successful applicant must have exemplary skills and knowledge in ore sample preparation
Use of jaw crushers, riffle splitters, LM2 and LM5 pulverisers etc. are essential

Capabilities:

The applicant must have the ability to communicate in both written and verbal manner and at all levels and a good command of the English language
Should be a safety conscious person
Must have valid Ghanaian Driving License
Be able to carry out assigned job with little or no supervision
Be computer literate
Minimum of 5 years work experience in a supervisory role
Minimum of 5 years experience in ore sample preparation in a mining laboratory environment or a mine related laboratory
