We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager Agile in the Unified Endpoint Management area to join our International Team and help us integrate services for the IT workplace within Deutsche Telekom AG
Job Title: Operations Manager for Unified Endpoint Management
- Advancing the service by introducing new features to support digital work environments
- Identifying, analyzing, and structuring technical requirements (functional extensions, consolidation & standardization, technology transition, cost optimization, efficiency enhancement)
- Conducting feasibility analyses, cost calculations, and effort estimations.
- Assuming and executing technical, operational responsibility (application, database, middleware, and infrastructure) for the Unified Endpoint Management platform (VMware Workspace ONE); operational contact for all technical matters
- Accountable for technical and operational service concepts, commissioning in the Telekom IT data centre, and quality assurance of technical deliverables
- Managing all upstream and downstream operational units and service providers, particularly the operations team and the platform manufacturer
- Directing operational processes such as patch management, capacity management, release management, etc., for the Unified Endpoint Management platform
- Supporting central incident and problem management processes with functional and technical expertise
- Ensuring continuous quality improvements in Unified Endpoint Management
- Engaging with suppliers and solution providers of Unified Endpoint Management technologies
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Business Informatics, or Business Administration with a technical focus, or comparable vocational training.
- At least three to five years of professional experience in Enterprise Mobility Management / Unified Endpoint Management.
- In-depth expertise and substantial experience:
with at least one of the leading Unified Endpoint Management Suites, ideally VMware Workspace ONE or Microsoft Intune
in system architectures and IT solutions within the Unified Endpoint Management context in the operational management of a Unified Endpoint Management solution, encompassing automation, monitoring, and provisioning with Microsoft applications, particularly Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, Active Directory, and proficiency in Microsoft scripting, e.g., Windows PowerShell
- Solid experience in data centre environments: networking, firewall, WAN, VLAN, etc.
- Proven comprehensive knowledge and experience in Service Management demonstrated by certification (e.g., ITIL V3/V4)
- Detailed proficiency in requirement analysis and creating technical and operational concepts and documentation
- Agile mindset and experience with agile methodologies (SCRUM, DevOps)
- Good understanding of project management methods and experience managing (partial) projects
- Sound business knowledge and experience calculating business cases and conducting cost-benefit analyses
- Strong industry knowledge of deployed technologies, standards, and innovation trends in the Unified Endpoint Management field
- High level of customer, solution, and service orientation, organizational skills, initiative, and willingness to perform
- Ideally, good German and proficient English skills (at least CEF Level C1)
