Our growing concrete production department is looking for a skilled problem solver to join our team as a Dispatcher. We need an enthusiastic individual who can listen to customer delivery issues and then offer a unique and innovative solution to each problem. The successful candidate for this role will have a strong command of the company’s customer service policies, and be well-trained in product knowledge that can be critical for offering quick and accurate assistance to customer orders

Job Description

Job Title: Dispatcher

Dispatcher Job Responsibilities:

Delivers items to customers by verifying orders; inventorying stock; arranging transportation.

Dispatcher Job Duties:

• Organizes building material orders.
• Arranges delivery by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating delivery requirements; placing and expediting orders.
• Verifies building materials by matching waybills; reconciling quantities; noting discrepancies.
• Keeps customers informed by forwarding notice of item availability, delivery date and method, and current status; answering questions.
• Replaces damaged items, shortages, and mishandles by determining optimal response of replacement or credit.

·         Develop delivery routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day

·         Collaborate with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers

·         Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes

·         Monitor any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for timely deliveries

·         Protects organization reputation by honoring the said delivery dates.

.   Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

·         Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes

·         Impact the company’s bottom line by problem solving and turning frustrated clients into repeat customers
