About Atlantic Lithium:

Atlantic Lithium is a lithium-focused exploration and development company with assets in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa. The Company is advancing its flagship Ewoyaa Lithium Project in Ghana to become Ghana’s first lithium-producing mine.

The Ewoyaa Lithium Project is located in Mankessim in the Central Region, approximately 100km southwest of the capital of Accra. Ewoyaa is on track to begin spodumene concentrate production as early as April 2025.

Reporting to the Head of Operational Readiness, the General Manager will be responsible for leading and managing all on-site activities to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable operations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, proficiency in time management and the ability to manage a diverse workforce while prioritising safety and environmental considerations.

We are seeking candidates with proven mining industry experience to join our growing on-site team and be part of Atlantic Lithium’s efforts to establish Ghana as a major lithium producer.

Job Description

Job Title: General Manager

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day mining operations, including exploration, drilling, blasting, extraction, construction and processing
• Lead a multidisciplinary management and operational team and foster a culture of high performance, teamwork, and continuous improvement
• Develop and implement operational procedures and strategies to meet production targets and maximise efficiency
• Oversee the planning and execution of exploration, development, and production activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets
• Prepare and manage the site budget, ensuring effective cost control and resource allocation
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations, promoting a zero-harm culture throughout all operational activities
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and suppliers, to maintain positive relationships and contribute to sustainable development
• Monitor and analyse operational data to identify areas for improvement, mitigate risks, and capitalise on opportunities for increased productivity and profitability

A successful candidate will have:

• Extensive General Manager experience in mining operations, with a proven track record of successful leadership, ideally within the lithium industry
• Mining or metallurgical qualifications
• Excellent managerial, leadership and supervisory skills, with capabilities to engage at all levels
• Strong knowledge of mining practices, safety regulations, and environmental standards
• Familiarity with local and international mining laws and regulations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address operational challenges
• Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions
• Knowledge of financial management and budgeting
• Fluency in English – essential
• Must be a Ghanaians Residents
