Job Description

Job Title: Translators (3 Post)

The Bible Society of Ghana invites applications from suitably qualified persons on contract for its Bono Translation Project.

The position is a full-time job and successful applicants will be required to stay in the Brong Ahafo for the duration of the project.

The successful applicants will work as a team and will be responsible for producing an accurate, faithful and meaningful translation of the Bible into the Bono language.

Required Skills or Experience

The Applicants Must Have:

• Degree in Theology with specialization in Biblical Studies;
• Good knowledge in Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic (added advantage);
• Experience in translation work;
• Fluency in Bono language and should be a native speaker
• Bono linguistics,
• Ability to speak and write Bono;
• Strong Christian Commitment with good standing in Church and Community;
• Ability to relate to people at all levels;
• Proficiency in computer software programmes; (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and familiarity with email and the Internet.
