Job Description

Job Title: Personal Assistant to the General Secretary

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day administration of the General Secretary’s office and protests operations by keeping information confidential
• Plans and schedules the General Secretary’s appointments, meetings and conferences, travel itineraries, protocol and visa/travel arrangements for General Secretary, Council members, Executives of other Bible Societies
• Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing information (Management) reports, Annual reports, Council reports, etc)
• Handles all correspondence in the GS office timesously by reading, researching and routing correspondences, drafting letters and documents, collecting and analyzing information and initiating relevant follow up actions

Qualification Required & Experience

• A University Degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences or related field. Membership of a professional body will be an advantage
• Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills and ability to pay attention to detail
• Proven administrative experience with excellent planning, organisational, time management and problem solving skills and ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively
• Assertive goal-oriented person with good analytical, book-keeping and basic accounting skills and internet research abilities
• Must have a valid driver license
