The British High Commission Visa section has one vacancy for Entry Clearance Assistant (ECA) for a 2-year term contract. Applicants must hold a British Passport, an EEA passport. The successful applicant would be expected to start work immediately and will also need to pass (or have passed) the necessary internal requirements before starting work
Main duties of this position will include:
Supporting Entry Clearance Officers and Entry Clearance Managers in the delivery of the UK Border Agency International Group’s key objectives: secure borders, good decisions and the prevention of immigration crime
Managing Visa Operations, Managing & Developing Staff, compiling and maintaining Statistics, providing an efficient Customer Service to the general public in person and by email, communicating and influencing the quality and standards within the UKBA
The monthly salary range is from GH¢1,206 (rising in increments of GH¢ based on performance) plus a 15% responsibility allowance
Required Skills or Experience
Good communication with excellent spoken and written English
Computer literacy with accurate typing skills
The ability to remain customer focused, polite and courteous under pressure
The ability to work quickly and reliably with little supervision to meet challenging targets
Ability to work well under pressure
