Job Title: Procurement & Logistic
The Procurement & Logistic Officer will report to the Purchasing and logistics manager and will be responsible for the provision of equipment and logistic support
The Procurement and Logistic Officer will be required to initiate and maintain relationships with suppliers and to purchase, track and deliver Project equipment or materiel as directed by the General Manager.
The Procurement & Logistic Officer will be responsible for liaising with the companies project logistic staff to ensure any requirements for logistic support are identified, approved and procured in a timely, well-documented and cost-efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Liaison for expediting orders to ensure order and delivery is met in timely manner
Freight Forwarder liaison for shipping dealing with commercial invoices and proof of deliveries Checking export requirements and applying for rating enquiries
Assist in supplier maintenance
Inventory of the company owned equipment on Projects
Obtain suppliers Terms and Conditions for approval by Procurement Officer and/or Legal prior to purchase of equipment
Chase Project with current status of all outstanding items
Filing creation and management of archive documentation
Maintain and update purchase ledgers and spreadsheets
Provide Logistics support to the General Manager
Control of the Expeditionary Store for Operational Deployment Equipment
Liaise with finance to process invoices
The sourcing of suppliers
The sourcing of equipment and services from suppliers including:
• Costs
• Availability of supply
• Delivery timelines
Obtaining suppliers’ Terms and Conditions for approval by the Logistics Manager and/or Legal branch prior to purchase of equipment
The processing of purchasing paperwork and documents
Liaison with suppliers for expediting orders to ensure order and delivery is met in timely manner
Maintenance and update of purchase ledgers and spreadsheets
Liaison with Freight Forwarder for shipping dealing with commercial invoices and proof of deliveries in
• Filing and management of archive documentation
• Researching equipment costing information for future projects

Advance MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Strong organizational skills, particularly the ability to prioritize
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to verbally brief senior management
Good written skills as report writing and briefs to senior management are a regular requirement
