Central Ashanti Gold Limited (‘CAGL’) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Perseus Mining Limited, a company listed on the Australian and Toronto Stock Exchanges. The Company is developing the Central Ashanti Gold Project near Ayanfuri in the Central Region of Ghana. The project has an expected mine life of 10 years.

Job Description

The Mining Production Superintendent, reporting to the Mining Manager, will be responsible for the everyday management of the contract mining operations at the Central Ashanti Gold Project, Ayanfuri.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to monitor the operations of the mining contractor, ensure that the mining operations are carried out in a safe working environment and develop, implement and monitor strategies to ensure that mining complies with production schedules and budgeted costs

The Position is site based and the Company offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the candidates’ qualifications and experience.

Required Skills or Experience

The sucessful applicant must be computer literate and will have at least 5 years experience in a similar role in large-scale open pit mining operations, strong supervisory and interpersonal skills, a Ghanaian Mine Superintendent Statutory certificate and a tertiary education qualification in Mining Engineering
Experience in contract mining operations is very essential
