Central Ashanti Gold Limited (‘CAGL’) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Perseus Mining Limited, a company listed on the Australian and Toronto Stock Exchanges. The Company is developing the Central Ashanti Gold Project near Ayanfuri in the Central Region of Ghana. The project has an expected mine life of 10 years.

Job Description

The Mining Shift Foreman, reporting to the Mine Production Superintendent, will take charge of the mining area during a shift and ensure the proper observance of the requirements of the Mining Regulations and other applicable legislative requirements by all persons working within the mining area, including contractors.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining close relation with the Mining Contractor and the Process Plant Foreman on all aspects of the mining and process plant operations to ensure continuous supply of ore feed at the required blend to the Processing Plant

The Position is site based and the Company offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the candidates’ qualifications and experience.

Required Skills or Experience

The sucessful applicant will have at least 3 years experience in a similar role in large-scale open pit mining operations, strong supervisory and interpersonal skills, and a Ghanaian Mining Foreman Statutory Certificate
Experience in contract mining operations will be an advantage
