Central Ashanti Gold: Senior Maintenance Planner

Central Ashanti Gold Limited (‘CAGL’) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Perseus Mining Limited, a company listed on the Australian and Toronto Stock Exchanges. The Company is developing the Central Ashanti Gold Project near Ayanfuri in the Central Region of Ghana. The project has an expected mine life of 10 years.

Job Description

The Senior Maintenance Planner reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, will lead the fixed plant maintenance planning section of the Processing Department at the Central Ashanti Gold Project, located near Ayanfuri

The responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:-

Manage the Maintenance planning function to ensure that the work scheduling process is being performed and meeting targeted KPIs
Plan all major Shutdown tasks
Prepare forecast of major component change outs according to the equipment maintenance strategies
Maximise preventative maintenance system of work whilst minimise unplanned breakdown maintenance, by effective use of the Maintenance Management System (Pronto) and condition monitoring
Review work order history to optimise component change out intervals
Assist in developing budget plans consistent with operational goals
Minimising maintenance costs, whilst maintaining/exceeding mill availability KPI
The position is site based and the Company offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the candidates’ qualifications and experience.

Required Skills or Experience

The successful applicant will have 7 years professional work experience in fixed plant maintenance of large-scale gold processing operations with at least 5 years recent experience in a similar role, experience of using Maintenance Management Systems, and
Degree in Mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
