Job Description

Job Title: Communications Officer

Job Summary

Incumbent will be responsible for external and internal CGML communication, under the direct supervision of Human Resources & Community/Public Relations Manager and in relation with the Regional Communication Manager.

Duties

Internal Communication
Propose and implement communication plans and actions to support any communication need of the CGML Senior Management Team (business
objectives, continuous improvement actions, HR, HSE…). Help to improve cascading communication;
Support the CPR Team to inform internal stakeholders about external activities related to obtaining and maintaining the social license to operate;
Produce a monthly newsletter on site’s main news/developments (operations, CI, HSE, HR, CR);
Management of the communication on events/incidents on site (key messages, internal reporting, holding statement and press release if needed).
Member of the Site Crisis Management Team;
Support corporate communication actions (promotion of corporate values / corporate announcements / Kinross World Online / LOVA);
Build and maintain a database of communication content on Chirano (general information / pictures / videos / PowerPoint presentation) in coordination with relevant departments.

External Communication
Management of communication with external stakeholders:
By developing appropriate communication plans and content (key messages, press releases, presentations, videos and other communications products);
In relation with the CPR Team, develop specific communication to inform and educate local communities on matters relevant to the Company.
