Job Description

Job Title: Programme Finance Officer

About the role

Programme Finance Officer will be responsible for working with partner organisations to assist them in programme financial management: specifically among others, support partners to build robust internal control systems, ensure timely partner financial reporting and review of partner reports. He/she will support the finance and budget related processes in awarding grant through to the close out of Partner projects. The role will support Partner project audit process as well as implementing audit recommendations. He/she will be responsible for conducting field monitoring and support visits to Partner organisation and collaborate closely with STAR-Ghana Programme and Grant team in matters relating Grant management. He/she will support partner organisations in financial capacity building through training and face to face support. Be available to take up any role as assigned by Head of Finance.

About you

You must have in-depth knowledge in Finance and Accounting, and preferably have experience with International NGOs or with financial institutions. You should be confident to work in a large organisation with multiple partners. You must have knowledge and experience in using accounting and management based software. You must have a knowledge and mastery of Microsoft Office suit.
