Job Description
The successful candidate will report to the Operations Services Manager. She/he will develop and execute minor capital projects to support the Ahafo Operations department.
Essential Duties:
- Coordinate, plan and schedule construction project activities
- Develop and prepare the business cases for projects including the formal written requests for capital funding through AFE
- Perform field engineering and construction management functions
- Develop proposal documentation for engineering and construction bidding purposes and support contract administration processes for Civil works
- Manage internal and external project relation

Required Skills or Experience
- A degree in Civil Engineering, or related field, with a minimum of 10 years of working experience in the engineering and construction field, preferably in the mining and minerals processing industry
- Project management, project engineering and construction experience is required
- Experience in tailings dam construction is a plus
- Proven capability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
- Proficiency with MS Project or Primavera and AuthoCAD
