A reputable private company is seeking to employ experienced self-motivated professionals to fill the position of Sales & Marketing Manager with the overall responsibility for Sales and marketing and report to the CEO.

Job Title: Sales & Marketing Manager
Basic Qualifications: Prospective candidate must in addition to the basic training and experience have 3 to 4 years’ commercial expertise gained across Sales/Consumer Marketing. Broad knowledge of distribution in Ghana environs and Commercial experience in Selling and Account Management.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Educated to degree level standard or equivalent (desirable)
- Degree in business areas such as management or marketing is a plus
- Minimum 3 years’ sales and marketing experience or equivalent combination of training and experience are necessary
- Coaching, training and development expertise
- Profound Negotiation skill
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- The position is located in the regional office – Mim-Brong Ahafo
- Extended and unpredictable hours.
Knowledge/Experience
- A good first Degree or HND marketing
- A minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar role

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
Key responsibilities include:
- Make sales plans and justify them to Management
- Achieve >/=100% Sales targets
- Achieve Numeric distribution 70% minimum
- Develop and implement Efficient Operational KPIs
- Develop Sales Capability & Value
- Ensure effective performance of recruited sales people >/= 100% achievement of salesmen target
- Implementation of Field Management Best Practises (FMBP) & must be a team player
- Implement those plans by training, coaching and motivating the sales teams
- Generate new leads and develop a strong relationship with existing customers
- Establish a professional and passionate direct sales team culture
- Ensure effective standardized sales process to be developed and followed across the sales teams by closely working with Sales Projects Management and Training team
- Work with marketing team to implement effective marketing strategies on the ground
- Support and train the sales teams to improve weak areas specified by the Sales Strategy team through a series of quantitative analyses on sales performance
- Prepare budgets with a clear justification and track expenses to manage cost per sale
- Share all the relevant information on the ground with key stakeholders in a concise way
- Recruit and train sales people to work with
- Ensure compliance of field sales management best practices by the Direct salesperson i.e. route plan, call cards, POP displays, merchandising
- Maintain excellent Customer Relationships
Render & promote good customer relationship/service to the trade & sales team
- Manage the Company’s Key Sales Outlets
- Set and monitor the achievement of monthly sales targets for assigned customers/outlets in agreement with Key Account Manager
- Ensure availability, visibility and accessibility of Company brands in all must-be channels/outlets
- Assist Agency salesmen to develop and grow the sales of Company brands in their assigned outlets
- Coach and train Direct salesperson for effective performance and delivery of 100% or more
- Undertake regular accompaniments with Direct salesperson to ensure compliance of field management best practices (FMBP)
- Ensure the maintenance of customer records by Direct salesperson
- Undertake and submit weekly price surveys of Company products versus competition
- Assist in the execution of promotional activities in Key Accounts
- To provide regular competitor activities and trade information from the field to the company
- Organize and coordinate sales during social events
- Identify selling opportunities for the Direct salesperson. i.e. institutions and social event
- Any other job assigned by the CEO
