Crown Agents USA, Inc. (CA-USA) is seeking a long-term Regional Clean Energy Lending Team Leader for the USAID/Climate Economic Analysis for Development, Investment and Resilience (CEADIR) project located in Ghana.

Job Title:  Energy Lending Team Leader

Project Description 

USAID/West Africa has requested the USAID Climate Economic Analysis for Development, Investment and Resilience (CEADIR) project, a USAID/GCC funded global initiative, to help banks in their region to increase their capacity for Clean Energy (CE) lending. The countries for CEADIR assistance include: Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal, Guinea (Conakry), Sierra Leone, and Niger.   CEADIR will collaborate closely with the DCA, Power Africa, and PFAN-supported entities in this work. This is an 18-month activity beginning in April 2016 and ending in September 2017.

Statement of Work

The Regional Team Lead will be responsible for:

• Partaking in country visits to conduct outreach to banks and identify cooperating partners
• Preparing country assessments and bank diagnostics
• Conducting bank training workshops on usage of CE Lending Toolkit
• Providing technical assistance to banks to develop CE lending products, instruments and mechanisms, along with monitoring systems.
• Provide logistical, operational, and technical management for the coordination across all project activities in the region.
• S/he will be responsible for activities in all countries and for local management of a team of five: one US-based Activity Manager, two International Sr. CE Lending and Banking experts, and two local CE Finance experts, both based outside of Ghana but in the region.

Qualifications 

• At the senior level, the regional CE lending team leader will have demonstrated expertise in the lending and banking sector in West Africa
• Demonstrated experience managing small teams.
• Experience managing USAID project activities (preferred).
• MBA or similarly relevant advanced degree.
• Fluency in French and English is required.
• Must be based out of Accra, Ghana.
